Join us Saturday evening for an in-depth look at Left Atrial Appendage management and its role in the treatment of AFib. Chaired by A. Marc Gillinov, MD of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, this program will include the rationale of the treatment, the role of LAA treatment in a Maze procedure and the treatment via minimally invasive (under direct visualization) cardiac procedures. A panel discussion and audience Q&A session will conclude the program.
This intensive one-day seminar for cardiothoracic surgery residents and fellows will provide participants with a comprehensive review of concomitant treatment of atrial fibrillation. Leading educators, researchers and practitioners in the fields of both surgical and catheter atrial fibrillation and Left Atrial Appendage management will present the latest techniques and research associated with arrhythmia surgery. The faculty will also provide their expert insights and perspectives on topics relevant to new surgeons entering clinical practice including the emerging role of cross specialty collaboration. The course will also offer attendees an opportunity to engage in small group discussions with the expert faculty during two hands-on practicum sessions.
