Left Atrial Appendage Management

AtriCure is the FIRST to receive FDA clearance for a device designed solely for the surgical occlusion of the left atrial appendage.

The AtriClip device is placed at the base of the left atrial appendage (LAA) permanently occluding it from the circulating blood in the left atrium. This prevents blood from entering the trabeculated area of the LAA known to be the source of over 95 percent of detected blood clots (thrombi) in patients with atrial fibrillation.1 The performance of the AtriClip device is confirmed with several pre-clinical and clinical peer reviewed publications.2-7
