Introducing Isolator Synergy™

the next evolution in cardiac surgical ablation

Tissue variability and thickness are challenges for all technologies.1 While most technologies appear to create similar lesions on the surface, all lesions are not the same when viewed in cross-section.  In these instances, less than ideal lesion geometry, such as an hour glass, may be formed.2 These weak areas may be transmural initially, but they might also offer only short-term conduction block.3

Launch in external player

Uniform Lesion Formation
  • Isolator Synergy ablation clamp creates a uniform, column-shaped lesion.
  • Pulsating energy between the two pairs of electrodes creates a lesion from the core of the tissue outward.
  • The result is a robust, high-definition lesion.

Tissue Compression and Energy Delivery
  • Isolator Synergy jaws maintain consistent tissue pressure along the entire length of the clamp.
  • Energy is contained within the jaws, protecting adjacent tissues and structures.
  • Dynamic monitoring and adjustment of the output based upon tissue conductance delivers only the amount of energy necessary to form lesions.

Atraumatic Design
  • Sleek, atraumatic shaft and jaws allow you to glide around fragile tissue with confidence.
  • Tapered distal jaw facilitates placement through pursestrings and enhances visualization in tight anatomy.
  • In-line handle provides unimpeded motion and tactile feedback over a range of positions.

The AtriCure® Ablation System is intended for the ablation of cardiac tissue during surgery. For further information, see the summary of the FDA's 510(k) clearance.
